Smilebox Introduces Photo Expressions Service for Instant Creation of Digital Scrapbooks, Greetings, Slideshows, and More

New All-in-One Service Enables Consumers to Preserve and Share their Memories

Today, Smilebox, Inc. announced that its new photo expression service is available for download at www.smilebox.com. This revolutionary new tool allows anyone with a digital camera to create and share their personal memories through customized digital scrapbooks and photobooks, e-greetings, slideshows, and postcards. With hundreds of designs to choose from, Smilebox(TM) is a creative way for people to connect with loved ones by sharing life's memories in a way that is exciting and fun.

The Smilebox process is fun and simple. It takes five minutes to create a photo expression. The consumer chooses a photo expression type such as greetings, scrapbooks, or slideshows, then selects a multimedia design template, drags and drops photos, adds text, music, and background, and emails their Smilebox to family and friends. It's that simple!

"Smilebox allows moms to personalize photos with music, words, and embellishments and email their creations to friends and family," said Andrew Wright, CEO of Smilebox. "It's the only service that provides a complete photo expression solution. Smilebox recipients don't need to worry about the hassle of log-ins, passwords or downloading software. Smilebox will play directly from their email as a rich interactive experience."

Customers Praise Quality, Simplicity, and Value

When Smilebox asked its beta customers (primarily mothers aged 30-65) about their experiences with the service, users were excited by its ease-of- use and by how beautifully their pictures were presented: "It only took me about five minutes to create my first Smilebox scrapbook -- it was very easy to learn and use," said Julie Thornton, a photo enthusiast and participant in the company's recent beta program. "I haven't seen anything like it out there," she added.

"The designs are very professional and I can personalize them based on who I'm sending to," said Michelle McGregor, another beta customer and avid scrapbooker. "I also like how reasonably priced the Smilebox designs are. When I buy one, I can reuse it as many times as I want," continued McGregor.

The Smilebox Service

The Smilebox service can be downloaded free of charge at www.smilebox.com. Consumers can email the basic version of a design to family and friends for free with a short ad, purchase the premium version for a one-time fee of $1.99, or subscribe to Smilebox for $4.99/month. With the premium design version, consumers can play their Smilebox on a full screen without ads and print a keepsake.
