HPR707digitalcamera.jpgHewlett Packard is cooperating with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and recalling firmware used in the R707 digital camera (NOT the camera itself). When the camera is used with a non-rechargeable batter, the camera can overheat and possibly burn or ignite when connected to the AC adapter or camera docking station.

The new HP 707 version 2.00.24 firmware update resolves this issue. This update requires an SD memory card for the update. Owners without an SD memory card should use the HP Image Zone software and download the Automatic HP Photosmart Firmware Update program instead.
