Sony has established a new brand name for its upcoming digital SLR camera models. The brand is the Greek symbol "alpha," meaning "beginning" and "essential."
This new sub-brand, "Sony (alpha symbol)," will be badged on a complete line of Sony digital SLR cameras and accessories.
