Steve advises that if you drop your digital camera or flash card into the water, you have a greater chance of salvaging the component if you quickly remove the battery. He also recommends that if you drop your camera or flash card into the water, remove the battery and put it into a baggie filled with the same kind of water (salt or fresh) until you are ready to work on it.
