Kodak Lawsuit - A former Kodak employee has filed a lawsuit against the company, claiming she was fired for protesting a proposal to secretly compress photos in the EasyShare Gallery. Although the company maintains they have not taken any actions to compress photos, they cannot comment on the specifics of the lawsuit. Yahoo News has the story.

Nikon makes more money - Nikon has announced the expectation of a 70% increase in operating proft over the next three years. The company expects the sales to come from digital cameras and chip-making equipment. Nikon plans on using the increased revenue to reduce debt. Photography Blog has the scoop.

Firmware Updates - There have been quite a few firmware updates this past week, with Canon providing new software for the EOS 5D, 30D, 1D Mark II N, Olympus updating the E-500, and Leica with their Digital-Modul-R digital back.

Fujifilm S9000 Rebate - Fujifilm is offering a $100 rebate on their FinePix S9000, according to The Imaging Resource. The rebate is for the US only, and the camera must be purchased before June 30.

Trade In, Trade Up Your Casio - Steve's Digicams is reporting on Casio's Trade In, Trade Up Program. Casio is giving current digital camera owners of any brand the opportunity to send in their old camera in for credit on a new Casio digicam. You can check out the Casio website to see how much your camera is worth.

DxO Optics Pro v3.55 - DP Now tells us about DxO Optics Pro version 3.55, the unique lens correction program that promises to enhance images by automatically correcting optical faults, lighting problems, and image noise. Scores of cameras and lenses are supported. The new version adds a number of refinements, and is a free upgrade for owners of version 3 or 3.5.
