This is issue #27 of Carnival of Digital Cameras and Photography. Carnival of Digital Cameras and Photography is a weekly round-up of all the latest news, trends, digital camera reviews, top blogs, photography tips and professional advice.
TGPMAIO - (Thank God PMA Is Over) - This year's PMA show in Orlando, Florida, is over, and we saw even more new digital camera and accessories announcements. Cameratown has complete coverage.
Casio's eBay Mode - The latest crop of Casio EXILIM digital cameras has an "eBay Best Shot Mode" that downsamples your picture to 2 megapixels for easier uploading to eBay. DigitalCameraInfo.com has the story.
Innovative SD Card - SanDisk has introduced an SD card that folds to reveal a USB 2.0 connector. The 2 GB card can write up to 9 MB a second and can plug into any USB port. 512 MB and 1 GB capacities are available now, and the $134.99 2 GB version of the SanDisk Ultra II SD Plus Card will be available in June.
Pro Online Services - We're seeing more and more companies tailor their online services for photography professionals. The photographer can upload their pictures to the website, and the company takes care of the e-commerce "backend." A couple of the services are dotPhotoPro.com and the Iron Mountain service soon to be found in Adobe Bridge.
Diamond Digital - Kodak and Kwiat have teamed up to produce a $20,000 special edition of the Kodak EasyShare V570 digital camera. Each Best Actress nominee at the 78th Annual Academy Awards will recieve one, with her initials in 75 brilliant-cut diamonds on the front of the camera. Let's Go Digital has the story.
