Terry Sullivan writes in PC Magazine that three digital camera companies have come together to compete against the two biggest manufacturers. Olympus, Panasonic, and Leica are collaborating to beat Canon and Nikon in the digital SLR market. The first product of that collaboration is the Panasonic Lumix DMC L-1, with a new Leica D Vario-Elmarit f/2.8-3.5 lens 14-50mm lens.
