New Lyson Continuous Ink Systems for Epson R800 and R1800

Lyson has introduced two new versions of their exclusive Continuous Ink System (CIS) for use with the Epson R800 and R1800 inkjet printers, which convert them into cost-effective printers for those who produce more than a few prints a week, with very much lower inkset costs and the convenience of not having to continually change cartridges.

The Lyson CIS Conversion Kit for the R800 costs £139.99+VAT and for the R1800 costs £149.99+VAT. The CIS contains eight 100ml ink reservoirs and it connects simply to the printer.

These new bulk ink systems for the R800 and R1800 take the newly developed Lyson R Series PhotoChrome pigment inksets, which are available in cost-saving 125ml bottles (eight colours per set) priced at £25+VAT RRP per bottle. For even greater economy, 1 litre bottles, costing £90+VAT RRP per bottle, and larger sizes are available.

"The new inksets are ideal for producing gloss, lustre and satin prints, and for matt prints (with Gloss Optimiser turned off), using Lyson inkjet media, or other brand matt, fine art and fast drying gloss/satin papers. No cleaning cartridges are required, allowing for a quick and cost-effective changeover," said Steve Martinson, Lyson Product Manager, Digital Photo & Fine Art.

Free generic ICC profiles are available from www.lyson.com for the Lyson R Series PhotoChrome inksets and Lyson inkjet media to ensure premium print quality.

Marrutt Digital, the main UK distributor for Lyson inks and media, is offering to send out two free A4 colour/black & white test prints on Gloss and Satin media produced on the Epson R1800, using the new CIS and new R Series inkset, if you e-mail them with your full postal address to: digital@marrutt.com.
