Despite a brand-ending slump in camera sales, Konica Minolta's quarterly net profit more than doubled for the last 3 months of 2005. The company still expects a full-year loss, though, due to restructuring operations.
The numbers: Operating profit rose 44% to 26.6. billion yen for Q4 2005. The company expects a net loss of 47 billion yen for Q1 2006.
