Cobra Digital(R) Unveils 4-In-1 Digital Video Camera With MP3 Player, Still Camera, Audio Recorder During PMA 2006
Versatile Pocket-Sized Device Offers Foldaway 2.0" LTPS Color Display, 16X Digital Zoom with Macro Focus, Music Storage/Playback and More in One Unit
Cobra Digital(R), makers of affordable digital imaging products, today announced the availability of its remarkable DVC3500 digital video camera during the PMA 2006 International Trade show and Convention in Orlando, Florida. The DVC3500 combines digital video, still photo, MP3 storage/playback, and audio record capabilities in one palm-sized and value-priced device that is perfect for vacations, special events, or even daily use.
No bigger than an Apple iPod, the Cobra Digital DVC3500 has a similar white exterior that makes it an attractive personal accessory. As a video camera, the unit provides up to three hours of recording time in high-quality MPEG4 (AVI) format with 640 x 480 or 320 x 240 pixel resolution at 30fps. A rotating 2.0" LTPS color display gives users a choice of framing the action by watching the screen, or by using the end-mounted viewfinder.
Still photography is also a strength of the DVC3500 thanks to its 2046 x 1536 pixel CMOS sensor and F3.0 to 8.6mm, 16X digital zoom lens. The DVC3500's lens also offers macro focusing for capturing close-ups just inches from the subject. Output resolution is available in 12.0, 3.0, or 2.0 megapixels as well as VGA.
"Customers will be amazed at all that the DVC3500 can do, especially at its low price," said Bill Pearson, president of Cobra Digital. "For teens or college students, the DVC3500 is a super-MP3 player thanks to its photo, video and audio record capabilities. Adults looking for a video/still camera will appreciate the ability to also listen to music when traveling. And since the DVC3500 is so small, it can effectively compete with popular MP3 players by slipping into a pocket or bag."
The DVC3500 has 16MB of flash memory, combined with an SD slot (SD card not included) and mass storage driver support for additional image or music storage. Depending on the size of the card, the DVC3500 can accommodate up to 288 pictures or 350 music tracks. The camera's USB 2.0 connectivity delivers easy plug-and-play capability with a PC; TV output is also supported.
Ultimate Versatility
In addition to its other uses, the multi-function DVC3500 can also serve as a PC camera with 320 x 240 pixel, 30fps resolution. A built-in charger keeps the rechargeable lithium-ion battery (included) fully powered for hours of convenient use.
The DVC 3500 is packaged with user's manual, software, USB and video cables, lithium-ion battery, carrying pouch and wrist strap.
