CNET has posted a review of the Olympus EVOLT E-500 with the Olympus 14-45mm f/3.5-5.6 zoom lens. The DSLR rated a "Very good" 7.4 out of 10. The reviewers liked the compact design, autofocus performance, menu system, and range of auto and manual features. But they also found the automatic white balance "unreliable" in some conditions, and the slow start up time when dust reduction is enabled. Also, the compatible Zuiko lenses don't indicate focal distance.
The bottom line is that it's a compact, easy to use digital SLR camera with a "broad feature set for its class and very nice photo quality overall."
