Samsung has announced a couple of multi-function devices that can do video and voice recording, music playback, data storage, and web cam capability in addition to producing digital stills. The top of the series, the SC-MS25 (at right), contains a 6 megapixel sensor and features a 3x optical zoom and 3-inch LCD. It has 512 MB of buit-in memory. The MS25 will be available in May 2006 at $499.99.
The SC-MS10 features a 5.3 megapixel CCD, 3x optical zoom, and a 2.5-inch LCD. The camera captures MPEG4 movies in 640 x 480 resolution at 30 fps. This camera has 64 MB of buit-in memory, but is expandable up to 512 MB and also has an SD card slot. The SC-MS10 will be available in February 2006 at $349.99.
