Samsung_SCMS25.jpgSamsung has announced a couple of multi-function devices that can do video and voice recording, music playback, data storage, and web cam capability in addition to producing digital stills. The top of the series, the SC-MS25 (at right), contains a 6 megapixel sensor and features a 3x optical zoom and 3-inch LCD. It has 512 MB of buit-in memory. The MS25 will be available in May 2006 at $499.99.

The SC-MS10 features a 5.3 megapixel CCD, 3x optical zoom, and a 2.5-inch LCD. The camera captures MPEG4 movies in 640 x 480 resolution at 30 fps. This camera has 64 MB of buit-in memory, but is expandable up to 512 MB and also has an SD card slot. The SC-MS10 will be available in February 2006 at $349.99.

Samsung's innovative 6-in-1 still cameras will be on display during CES 2006 at the Samsung booth, #11033 in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center from January 5th – 8th.

SC-MS25 and SC-MS20 models combine 6 MegaPixel digital stills with high-quality MPEG4 recording allowing users to preserve those special moments in either photo or video format. Ultra-compact, with a chic magnesium body, the multi-function digital cameras slip easily into a pocket. A 3x optical zoom lens and a 3.0" wide LCD make it easy to capture the perfect shot while the built-in movie and photo image stabilizer supports the picture clarity.

A sliding lens cover protects the lens from dust and scratches, and four "Hot Keys" provide shortcuts to the most frequently used functions according to the selected mode. The mode dial lets users switch functions easily with status displayed on the LCD screen. The camera can be charged via USB connection to a PC (when the power is off). The SC-MS25 includes 512MB of built-in memory, and the SC-MS20 includes 64MB of built-in memory. Both models come with an SD/MMC slot for increased storage capacity.
