2006 CES - The 2006 International Consumer Electronics Show wraps up today in Las Vegas. Cameratown came through in a big way with their 2006 CES news coverage. Lots of stuff going on this week... I count over 40 new product announcements in yesterday's DigiCamNews Digest.

Got the shutter lag blues? - "Shutter lag" is that annoying gap of time between when a photographer presses the shutter button and the digital camera snaps the pic. Cameras.co.uk has a handy Digital Camera Shutter Lag Comparison Table that gives one-shot and five-shot data.

Cleaning Digital Cameras - It strikes fear in the heart of most DSLR owners: How to effectively, but safely, clean the CCD/CMOS sensor in your camera. Fortunately, a new site quite appropriately named CleaningDigitalCameras.com has come to the rescue with a multi-page tutorial on all the procedures, tools, and fair warnings one would need.
