Peter Marshall's "Lens of the Year"

About.com's guru-in-residence Peter Marshall has named as his "Lens of the Year" the Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM. It's designed for the EOS 20D and Digital Rebel cameras. He concludes that "Canon are a hard game to beat in glass, although their cheaper range doesn't quite match up to the L series. However their 10-22mm fills such an obvious need for Canon EF-S users that it really must be my 2005 choice for 'Lens of the Year.'"
