The StoryTeller photo book creator is a kit that comes with everything you need to turn your digital photos into a beautiful, hardbound glossy coffee table photo book in the convenience of your own home. Starting at $20, the kit is available in 5" x 7" and 8" x 10" sizes with glossy photo paper to print the inside pages, a glossy book cover, a hardbound book that you can easily assemble, and easy-to-use software that lets you enhance and place dozens of photos on up to 20 pages per book. And StoryTeller works with letter-size printers made by all major printer manufacturers.
"There's a special story behind every photo we take, whether it's baby's first Christmas, grandma's expression while opening gifts or an everyday moment during the holiday season," said Rodrigo Catalan, product manager, Epson. "With StoryTeller, you can celebrate and share these stories in a gift that will last for generations."
Creating a Holiday Photo Book
Four simple tips will help you create a one-of-a-kind gift that will be proudly displayed on coffee tables and shared with others for years to come:
1. You can judge a book by its cover. With StoryTeller, you can add
photos and titles to the front and back as well as text along the
spine, creating a finished cover that looks like a professional coffee
table book. What's more, the photos you place throughout the book
show up automatically as sneak previews on the back cover, providing a
photo thumbnail table of contents. Adding inscriptions inside the
front and back cover flaps helps add that final personal touch.
2. Let professionally designed templates help you tell the story.
Easy-to-use features and drag-and-drop controls enable you to easily
create a personalized story with images and words. Create annotations
in special font colors to add unique details to your story. Best of
all, you don't have to be a designer to get professional looking
results. The software includes ready-to-use layouts so that every
page looks professionally designed. You can choose from six different
book styles with 10 templates for a total of 60 unique page layouts
and 18 cover selections. You can place each image individually or let
the program do it automatically for an even faster book!
3. Make sure your photos look their best. Take advantage of helpful
tools such as red eye removal and contrast, brightness and sharpness
enhancements, or add special color effects like sepia, black and white
and color hues. You may need to restore faded traditional film photos
that have been tucked away for a long time. Epson's scanners and
all-in-ones let you easily scan and restore faded color photos with
one click.
4. Print at home. Use a letter-size printer or all-in-one, such as the
Epson Stylus Photo RX700, to print the pages and cover of the book
you've created at home rather than waiting days to get one in the
mail. Then cover it with the clear plastic transparent sleeve for
extra protection, just like the ones you see on library books and
you're all done.
