About.com's Michael Carr has given us a couple of lists today: one for those buying a digital camera for a beginner, and another for buying a digital camera for (I assume your) dad.

The beginner's cameras include the Nikon Coolpix 4100, Fuji Finepix 3100, Olympus Stylus 410, and the Kodak EasyShare CX7330.
For dad, he recommends the Kodak EasyShare CX6200, HP Photosmart 435, Fuji Finepix A340, Canon PowerShot S500 Digital Elph, and Sony Cyber-shot DSC-F828.
