For the 4th consecutive quarter, Kodak has maintained its lead over Japanese competitors in the US digital camera market. Shipments to retailers rose nearly 13% in the July-to-September time frame, according to reasearch firm IDC, while Kodak's shipments rose 21%. Kodak's market share climbed to 21.3%. Canon and Sony were tied for second place. Worldwide, Kodak ranks third.
