Reuters is reporting that Pentax and Samsung have "tied up" to jointly develop entry-level and middle-range digital SLR cameras. Each company plans to market the models under its own brand. The alliance with take advantage of Samsung electronics and Pentax optics. The first model, based on an existing Pentax camera, will be released this spring. The first jointly-developed unit will arrive next autumn.
