DxO Labs has announced DxO Optics Pro version 3.5, which includes the new DxO Optics Engine 2. The new version includes expanded capabilities for removing unwanted color fringes from the image, user-defined cropping, and an increased level of image detail with the DxO Optics Engine Lens Softness removal capabilities. Also, the new engine can preserve up to 40% more image surface when eliminating geometric distortion. The new version can also take advantage of multiple-processor computers to increase image batch processing speed. Initial tests indicate a 100% improvement.
The license fee for DxO Optics Pro now includes unrestricted access to all DxO Lens Modules for a given set of supported camera bodies. DxO Optics Pro Standard Edition supports advanced amateur Digital SLRs, while DxO Optics Pro Elite Edition also includes support for professional Digital SLRs. There are now more than 240 DxO Lens Modules available.
DxO Optics Pro 3.5 is a free upgrade from version 3.0, and will be available early next month. The Standard Edition will be $149, and the Elite Edition will be $299.

Availability and pricing
