CNET has reviewed the Canon EOS 1Ds Mark II, awarding the digital SLR an "Excellent" 8.9 out of 10 rating. The editors cited the camera's "tremendous" resolution, improvements over the original EOS 1Ds, "superior" handling, and optional wireless photo transfer. The reviewers knocked the camera for its price and weight, and the fact that it requires high-capacity memory cards. In the end, though, the many features and the highest resolution of any small-format digital SLR won the camera an "Editor's Choice" mark.
