Also debuting is the advanced, yet affordable SANYO Xacti S6 6-megapixel digital camera featuring the one-touch simplicity of the new Touch Sensor Shutter Button, a 2-inch color LCD screen and AA battery operation for convenient, easily renewable power.

The SANYO Xacti E6 has an MSRP of $399.99 and will be available in the U.S. in September 2005. The SANYO Xacti S6 has an MSRP of $299.99 and will be available in the U.S. in October 2005.

SANYO Xacti E6 Digital Camera

The 6-megapixel SANYO Xacti E6 digital camera features a full 3-inch color LCD screen -- the largest in its class -- which provides an approximately 230% larger viewing area than a 2-inch screen. Such a big screen is ideal for composing and framing the subject, checking the captured photo and sharing pictures with others. The bright, exceptionally viewable trans-reflective LCD screen incorporates a low-temperature polysilicon liquid crystal design known for its excellent color reproduction.

The lightest finger touch activates the Touch Sensor Shutter Button. Auto Focus and Auto Exposure are instantaneously confirmed with a luminous touch signal and beep. Then, a gentle press of the shutter button captures the image. For novices and the millions of point-and-shoot photographers that have difficulty mastering a conventional digital camera's two-stage shutter, the new Touch Sensor Shutter Button makes focusing easy and helps make "flubbed" shots a thing of the past.

The E6 digital camera provides a unique "Best Shot" mode, whereby the camera takes four consecutive shots at different settings. All four shots are displayed on the screen. Save all the images or just choose the best one. Because the camera adjusts settings automatically, there's no need to worry about which mode to choose.

With a 6.0-megapixel CCD and unique high-speed processing engine, users have the ability to record and play back video in QuickTime format in full- motion (30fps) at full standard TV resolution of 640 x 480. A fully internal 3X optical zoom, newly developed 9-point area Auto Focus system and popular Scene Select feature help make it easy for anyone to take beautiful shots with ease. A convenient, menu-driven user interface featuring a selectable on- screen "Help/Guidance" mode assists in taking the mystery out of capturing great shots.

The E6 has 16MB of internal memory and accepts both SD and Multi Media Cards for additional image and video clip storage. The internal memory can also be used as a mediator to copy an image from one memory card to another for sharing images with family and friends. Power is provided by a SANYO rechargeable Lithium ION battery. For easy printing of images, the E6 is PictBridge compatible for direct printing to PictBridge compatible printers. Dimensions are 3.8.W x 2.3.H x 0.9.D and weight is 5.6 ounces.

The feature-rich S6 offers 15MB of internal memory and accepts SD and Multi Media Cards. For ready power anytime, the S6 uses two replaceable AA batteries and can connect to any PictBridge compatible printer for direct photo printing. Dimensions are 3.7.W x 2.4.H x 1.1.D and weight is 4.8 ounces.
