IMAGELINK system supported by new Olympus cameras

Kodak has announced that the new Olympus Camedia C315, D555, and ILP-100 printer dock are all compatible with IMAGELINK, Kodak's year-old print-at-home specification. Kodak, Konica Minolta, Nikon, Olympus, Pentax, Ricoh, and Sanyo have signed on to the standard.

ROCHESTER, N. Y., Sept. 19 -- One year after the announcement of the IMAGELINK print system - a specification designed to simplify at-home picture printing - new cameras and printers supporting the standard are being released. Joining a host of KODAK EASYSHARE cameras and printer docks already released this year, Olympus has announced the Camedia C315 zoom digital camera, the D555 zoom digital camera and ILP-100 printer dock which are all IMAGELINK compatible.

"Now with the first compatible products hitting the market and others expected over the next year, people can begin to experience the greater ease of use and higher satisfaction that this system provides."

Millions of consumer digital cameras from Eastman Kodak Company, Konica Minolta Photo Imaging, Inc., Nikon Corporation, Olympus Corporation, Pentax Corporation, Ricoh Co., Ltd. and Sanyo Electric Co., Ltd. will provide effortless, one-touch picture printing from snapshot printers that incorporate the IMAGELINK print system, including new KODAK EASYSHARE printer docks.

A consumer Web site dedicated to the IMAGELINK print system went live earlier this year. The site - www.imagelinkprintsystem.com - includes links to compatible digital camera and printer information, an animated presentation to help people visualize the camera-printer connection, frequently asked questions and news related to the specification.
