Mobilemag is reporting that a Nikon service center is reporting explosions from several Nikon D70 owners. The cause has been determined to be the imitation Lithium-Ion batteries, which don't have the safety and circuit protection features of a genuine Nikon battery. Since the summer, Nikon has been attaching holograms to products indicating that the product is a genuine Nikon product.
