Kodak will begin airing ads tonight focused on sharpening its reputation as a world-class digital imaging company. The blitz will begin at 9 PM ET on major broadcast networks and selected cable channels. The theme of the ads will be "Keep it forever. Keep it Kodak." The ads will blend traditional Kodak imagery while pushing the latest products like the V550 and EasyShare One digital cameras.
The quote of the week comes from Carl Gustin, Kodak's cheif marketing officer: "In order to sell across the board... we need to be cool, hip and with-it. We still need a little bit of emotion, but we can't live on puppy dogs, weddings and daddy's little girl."
