Sanyo is taking big strides to cut digital camera production costs, according to a Reuters report yesterday. Sanyo hopes to cut costs by as much as 30% just to stay current with the price drops in the market. The company has also announced plans to double sales of its "Xacti C" series cameras that can take both still pictures and video. The company is a very large digital camera manufacturer, but 95% of their output carries badges from other brand, such as Nikon and Olympus.
