Bloomberg is reporting that both Canon and Nikon are planning to increase digital SLR camera production in response to consumer demand and hoping to make up for the slowing sales of cheaper models. Digital SLR cameras represent a third of Canon's digital camera revenue, and Nikon is expecting a 50% increase in digital SLR shipments this year.
