This Updater Software updates Nikon View version 6.2.5 to version 6.2.6. Nikon View version 6.2.5 must be installed before proceeding with this update. If you are using Nikon View version 6.2.4 or earlier, please update Nikon View to version 6.2.5 before proceeding with this update. Turn off all virus-scanning software and exit Nikon View or any other application that may be running before proceeding with this installation.

When Nikon View version 6.2.x is used with Nikon Capture 2, an error will be displayed and RAW or NEF-format images cannot be opened in Nikon Capture 2 if they were rotated with Nikon View version 6.2.x Nikon Browser. If images will be opened in Nikon Capture 2, please do not use the rotate function in Nikon View version 6.2.x Nikon Browser.

This version of Nikon View does not support serial computer connections. However, the memory card from serial-connection Nikon digital cameras (Coolpix 700, 800, 880 serial, 900, 950, 990 serial) can be removed from the camera and inserted in a card reader or PC card slot and pictures transferred to the computer using Nikon View 6.2.1. For more information on using a card reader Click Here

If you have never connected your Nikon digital camera to your computer and are using Windows 98SE or a Coolpix 880, Coolpix 990 or D-1 series you will also need to Click Hereto download the camera drivers.
What's New

Support for RAW images captured by the D50 has been added.
The Red Eye Correction function can now be used on RAW and 16-bit TIFF images.

Special Notes

The following problems have been confirmed when Nikon View version 6.2.x is used with Nikon Capture 4 version 4.0.0 or Nikon Capture 3 version 3.5.2 and earlier.
Problem

An error occurs and images cannot be opened in Nikon Capture when the following operations are performed with Nikon View version 6.2.x.
RAW images have been transferred with the Rotate image(s) (Supported cameras only) option selected in the Transfer panel of Nikon Transfer's Transfer Options dialog (applicable models: D2H, D70).
RAW or NEF-format images have been rotated with Nikon Browser. Do not perform the operations noted above when Nikon View version 6.2.x is used with Nikon Capture 4 version 4.0.0 or Nikon Capture 3 version 3.5.2 and earlier. Images to which the operations described above have been performed can be correctly opened in Nikon View version 6.2.x Nikon Editor.
Resolution of these problems

These issues have been addressed with Nikon Capture 4 version 4.1.0 and later, and Nikon Capture 3 version 3.5.3. Updater Software for these corrected versions can be downloaded from our web site. An updater addressing these issues is not scheduled for Nikon Capture 2 or earlier.
