Sandard & Poor's Ratings Services has lowered the long-term credit rating for Olympus from "a-" to "BBB+" based on the company's weak financials for the past year, but aid the rating outlook is "stable." Part of the reason for the decline is that Olympus' digital camera revenues have fallen more than the market average because the company has failed to produce a hit product.
