Panasonic Japan has announced the Lumix DMC-FX8, an update to its DMC-FX7. The 5 MP digital camera will come with a Leica 3x zoom lens with optical stabilization and the new Venus Engine. Panasonic claims that the Venus engine coupled with the camera's new battery will offer a 2x improvement in battery life as well as improved autofocus performance. The camera will be offered in four color schemes, ranging from standard silver and black to blue and pink.
Although Panasonic has not yet announced prices, we do know that the Lumix DMC-FX8 will go on sale June 4th in Japan.
