Nikon has posted a surge in annual operating profit today, due in part to their strong high-end digital camera sales. The company expects strong sales to continue, forecasting imaging division profit to jumt 19% this coming year. Nikon's profits have also been enhanced by the sale of 193 steppers, which are machines that etch circuitry onto semiconductors.
