DxO labs has made a public beta version of its DxO Optics Pro v3.0 software. This program automatically enhances images produced by digital SLR cameras. Optics, noise, and lighting corrections are included. Serious photographers are invited to download the software from the DxO site and begin trying it out. DxO Labs has set up a blog to provide interaction with the community throughout the beta test period.
Once the final software is released, it will come in two levels of functionality: DxO Optics Pro 3 will be $149 for prosumer and expert amateur D-SLR's. DxO Optics Pro 3 Elite will be $249 for all supported cameras, including digital SLR cameras. All purchasers of DxO Optics Pro 2.2 on or after April 20th are eligible for a free upgrade upon release, and all other users can upgrade for $49.
