In response to strong demand in China, Southeast Asia, and the United States, Casio has announced plans to raise digital camera production by 35% this business year. This would bring the company to 5 million units shipped this year. In spite of lower sales growth, especially in Japan, Casio also plans in increase digital camera sales by 15%. The company plans to introduce about nine new models this fiscal year ending March 2006.
