nikon.gifNikon has announced that it has been named "The Official Camera of the Boston Red Sox." In addition to sponsoring Red Sox radio broadcasts and Fenway Park signage, the company will have an impact on the fans attending Red Sox home games through a service called FanFoto. Eight FanFoto photographers will roam Fenway Park taking pictures of fans. Photographed fans will recieve a Nikon ticket wih the game date, URL and gallery number for online reference. The service will also be offered at pre-game parties, luxury suites, and VIP events.

Nikon will also host professional photographers working at the game with a Nikon Darkroom and a special professional photographer's luncheon on June 1.

"We are thrilled that Nikon has joined our family of corporate partners," said Sam Kennedy, Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing for the Boston Red Sox. "In addition to tremendous exposure inside Fenway Park with a new centerfield sign and signage on the photo well railings, we have partnered with Nikon to provide better services and work space for the professional photographers that come to Fenway Park. We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with Nikon."
