nikon.gifProgrammer Dave Coffin has reportedly reverse-engineered Nikon's scrambling of RAW files. Coffin is best know for his Dcraw utility software, which translates raw images from digital cameras into a non-proprietary format. Nikon has been scrambling the white-balance settings in its RAW files for its highest-end cameras, hindering such applications as Adobe's Camera Raw.

As DCN reported over a month ago, Bibble Labs has also successfuly broken the encryption and offers the functionality in Bibble 4.
