Kyocera ending CONTAX camera production

Kyocera.gifKyocera Corporation has announced its intention to stop producing CONTAX-branded digital cameras, lenses, and accessories. The company credits the decision to their own difficulties in reacting to market conditions. The the company will discontinue CONTAX shipments in September 2005, but will continue to market the CONTAX 645 camera system until December. The company will continue to provide service to the cameras and lenses for up to ten years.
