Four times more people bought camera phones than digital still cameras in 2004, according to research firm Strategy Analytics. Chris Ambrosio, the director of Strategy Analytics' global wireless practice stated that the digital camera market is "running out of steam."
Some disagree. Kodak CEO Daniel Carp points to other studies that show people aren't satisfied with their camera phones, rarely upload pictures to a computer or print them. The camera phone is also hampered with short battery life, mediocre picture quality, and complex printing procedures.
