Nikon has announced the new D2Hs digital SLR camera, designed for photojournalists and sports/action photographers. The camera features Nikon's 4.1 megapixel DX format JFET image sensor LBCAST (Lateral Buried Charge Accumulator and Sensing Transistor array) and has several features that address the needs of its target audience. The camera can take up to 50 consecutive shots at 8 frames per second. The unit has Nikon's 3D-Color Matrix Metering II and 11-area AF system. The camera also has support for GPS and wireless connectivity. The digital camera will be available in March for a $3499.95 MSRP.
