As a result of major disagreements with the board of HP, Carly Fiorina has resigned as Chief Executive Officer. HP's Chief Financial Officer, Robert Wayman, will act as interim CEO.
Fiorina has been at the helm of HP since 1999, after leaving Lucent Technologies. She presided over HP's controversial merger with Compaq and has resisted many calls to break HP into two companies, one for business customers and another for the consumer market.
