Retail analysts The NPD Group has released sales data showing that Canon's PowerShot and EOS digital cameras have captured the overall #1 brand ranking. Canon had a 20.4% market share in all digital camera sales in 2004. In the digital point-and-shoot and the digital SLR categories, Canon was also the #1 brand, with 18.6% and 62.8% market shares.
