DIMAGE_Z5.jpgKonica Minolta has introduced the DiMAGE Z5, a compact 5 MP camera with a built-in 12x optical Mega Zoom lens. Other features include Konica Minolta's proprietary Anti-Shake System, a rapid autofocus, and 2-inch LCD screen.

The 12x optical zoom combines with a 4x digital zoom to produce a total 48x zoom. The CCD-shift Anti-Shake System is the same one used on the company's Maxxum 7D and DiMAGE A200 models. Konica Minolta claims the Rapid AF is the fastest autofocus on a digital camera with predictive focus. The camera can focus in as little as .2 seconds at wide angle and .3 seconds in telephoto.
