In a move that may prove detrimental to the standalone digital camera market in years ahead, Panasonic today announced new components capable of integrating a 3 MP digital camera in cell phones. The technology also provides advanced video capabilities, such as video stabilization. Production will begin in March on the 3 MP and 2 MP components, while a 1.3 MP unit will come later.
