Japan is known as the toughest market in the world for digital cameras, due to the high adoption rate and multiple manufacturers. Kodak is trying to re-enter that market by quietly introducing two products, the LS755 and DX7590, and a printer system already available. The company has also made agreements with six Japanese camera manufacturers to allow their cameras to connect to Kodak's ImageLink print system. The company expects a three-year effort to gain a foothold back in this market.
