JVC announced today at the annual DigiVision exhibition that they are releasing their Everio GZ-MC100 and GZ-MC200 models in the Middle East. The Everio's are the first cameras to use the Microdrive, a 4GB storage device that uses a removable 1-inch hard disk. The cameras shoot thousands of still pictures, or up to 60 minutes of MPEG-2 video. They are 2.12 MP cameras and use a USB 2.0 interface.

These models have been available in the United States since last October.
