Cincinnati reporter John Matarese of WCPO television hosted a "Don't Waste Your Money" segment recently that highlighted Consumer Reports magazine's advice to readers: for most uses, a 3 MP camera, such as the Olympus Camedia C-740 is all you need. For those who plan on doing a lot of enlargements, a 4 or 5 MP camera would be more appropriate. For those needing a cheaper, "but very good" camera, he suggests the Canon PowerShot A60 or the Fujifilm FinePix A330.
